Specializations
Kathy has several
areas of
specialization as a
life coach and
career coach,
speaker, and
coaching resource
developer,
including:
Overcoming Crisis
and Claiming Your
Passion, Power, and
Purpose in Life and
Work
Kathy has conducted
a national research
study with over one
hundred professional
women nationwide on
Women
Overcoming
Professional Crisis:
Finding New Meaning
in Life and Work,
co-sponsored by
The Esteemed Woman
Foundation.
Through her research
and work as a
women’s life coach
and career coach
with hundreds of
women in the past
several years, she
has developed a deep
understanding of the
12 common
disempowerment
crises professional
women face. These
crises can strike
mid-life women with
great force. Kathy
has extensively
studied and explored
the traits,
characteristics, and
societal trends that
contribute to these
crises, and
developed an
effective coaching
model to understand
and address them.
She works with her
clients to uncover
the significant
personal meaning
beneath the crisis,
and to help them get
to the other side of
transition with
greater purpose,
joy, and
fulfillment. As a
corporate Vice
President turned
helping professional
and thriving
entrepreneur and
author, she has
lived through this
crisis herself, and
successfully
reinvented her life
and work.
Thriving Through
Change
Kathy specializes in
assisting
individuals who are
currently in a major
transition period,
or who wish to bring
about significant
change. From helping
clients change their
careers, start a new
business, move
through a new life
stage, reinvent
after divorce, deal
with trauma, grief
and loss, or achieve
desired movement
personally and
professionally,
Kathy utilizes her
therapeutic and
coaching skills, as
well as successful
practices from other
change-oriented
fields, to help
individuals thrive
while making
dramatic life
changes.
Empathic Parenting
Kathy’s training and
work with families
and children, and
her own parenting
experience, have
given her a unique
understanding of the
ways of being that
foster children’s
growth and potential
to the
fullest—empathic
ways that facilitate
children to become
self-reliant,
self-confident,
joyful, and strong
as they develop
their inner compass
to direct their own
lives fully.
Marriage and Family
Relationships
In family life, each
of us participates
in a wide range of
roles and
interpersonal
interactions and
patterns of
communication that
may, at times,
generate conflict
and emotional
distress. Kathy
helps you access
your own inner
resources,
strengths, and
solutions while
discovering new ways
to address and
resolve
interpersonal issues
and dilemmas that
may have emerged
within your
relationships.
Arts and Creativity
Kathy has been
singing and
performing for over
thirty years, and
performed on
numerous recordings
and at appearances
at Carnegie Hall,
the United Nations,
and other large and
local venues. She
has also performed
and recorded with
her husband
world-renowned jazz
percussionist Arthur
Lipner (www.arthurlipner.com).
As an accomplished
singer, performer,
and author, she has
valuable personal
insight and
experience in
understanding the
power of integrating
your creative self
with other
dimensions of your
life. Kathy assists
both professional
and nonprofessional
artists and
creatives in
bringing about
beneficial change in
their careers and
personal lives.

“I enthusiastically
recommend having
Kathy Caprino visit
with your groups. We
hosted her today,

to finally meet you.
Your seminar gave me
a clear

read through your

About Caprino’s
Empathic Parenting
Workshop:
“Most impressive.
Patent it, publish
it, share it with
prospective parents
as well as
new/current ones.
Truly a
comprehensive and
meaningful workshop.
I wish my kids could
attend personally.
In lieu of that I am
sending it to them.
I wish it had been
available when I was
struggling as a
parent. At the very
least your workshop
will heighten the
awareness of parents
to the incredible
responsibility of
being a parent. That
how a child is
raised has such far-
reaching
ramifications for
the rest of his/her
life let alone the
dynamic of the
family while they
are at home. It’s
truly a great
service to both
parents and
children.”
– Anne Dobbs,
Naples, FL Business
Owner, Parent,
Grandparent
About Caprino’s
One-on-One Coaching
Services:
“Kathy's intuitive
nature gives her an
amazing ability to
get to the heart of
any issue. She is
passionate about
helping others and
it is evident in her
unique approach to
coaching. I have
watched myself
transform over the
last several months
working one-on-one
with Kathy and know
that I could not be
doing what I am
doing today without
her continual
guidance, wisdom and
support. I am
grateful for what
she has helped me to
achieve and look
forward to what is
to come.”
– T. R. Fairfield,
CT
Kathy has this great
ability to
immediately put you
at ease. The sense
of trust that I felt
allowed me to fully
participate in our
work together
without hesitation -
in her presence you
are in a safe place.
She is empathetic,
yet able to cut
right through to the
heart of the problem
to the things that
were right in front
of me but couldn't
see myself. She is
encouraging,
sincere, supportive,
as well as practical
- all of which
helped me untangle
the options and
choices I was
facing."
– G.M. Elmsford, NY
"Kathy sets the
stage for you to
expand your world
and meet your
dreams."
– P.A., Brewster, NY
“I first began my
work with Kathy a
month ago; prior to
that, I would not
have thought it
possible to guide
someone so
positively in such a
short amount of
time. Kathy has
helped me become
more self-aware and
has guided me toward
mending my
inter-personal
relationships. She
knows how to direct
an individual toward
finding his or her
own answers which I
have not found
possible up until
now. Kathy's
sensitivity and
insight are just two
of the
characteristics that
make her truly
gifted in her
field."
– S.I., Norwalk, CT
“Working with Kathy,
I was able to see my
long-standing issues
in new ways that
allowed me to move
forward and
make changes in both
thought and action."
– C.J., Chelmsford,
