Arthur Lipner's beautiful
upcoming documentary called
Talking Sticks. (Pictured

and
Nanny Assis [right], who performed at the
screening.)
With stunning footage from Ghana, Rio, Mexico and
Norway, the film explores the vital role of percussion
in world culture, and Arthur's personal journey to
express his unique creative gifts and connect with
people around the world using his "talking sticks." We
held a first-cut film screening last Friday night in
Wilton, CT, complete with African and Brazilian food,
dance, and percussion. It was an amazing evening! Hope
you'll
check out the film (trailer coming soon).
Wishing you and yours a beautiful holiday season and
New Year filled with fun, family, blessings, and
abundant success and joy.
All best wishes to you,

The Million Dollar Woman's Mindset:
Her Secret
Ingredients
By Denise Hughes
Recently, I've been privileged to interview women across
the U.S. who are on their way to growing their
businesses to a million dollars or more. In speaking
with them, I notice common threads and qualities that
exist in each of them. I want to share these threads
with you, for the fabric they weave make dreams come
true. May they inspire you as they have me!
Here are the key qualities they
share.
A dream to "make a difference"
in our world
Each woman I spoke with had what I would call a higher
purpose dream or vision beyond the vision of her
business. This dream speaks to contribution, service and
making the world a better place. One business woman told
me, "I realized that staying small and being a one
person shop won't help the world the way I want to."
Another said, "I want to make millions so I can then
live and volunteer my services around the world, helping
people in other countries.
Not
one of these women wanted to make loads of money for
money's sake. They see money as a tool that links them
to their highest passion and purpose for being on the
planet which has to do with service and giving back.
They "act" on their ideas
Each woman I talked with is a mover and shaker. I
believe most of us have "ideas" that pop into our
consciousness during the day, where we think, "Wow,
that's a great idea, I should act on that." The women
with million dollar mindsets "act" on their ideas. They
believe these creative brain sparks are from the
Universe or from a higher consciousness opening them to
opportunity, creativity and new energy. They see these
"ideas" as steps on the path to get them to their goal!
Has a "daily pulse" on business
finances
I was impressed at how "hands-on" most women were with
their business cash flow, even if they had bookkeepers
to help them out. They are very aware of what's coming
in and what's going out. This level of clarity is
powerful and supports really good decisions in the ebb
and flow of cash flow.
Know where they are and where they
want to go
Each woman knew with clarity where she currently was in
her business and where she wanted to take her business.
She had a plan to build wealth. What is interesting is
that "how to" get from A to B was not so apparent. There
was a certain level of uncertainty. None of these women
were "afraid" of the uncertainty. They didn't see it as
an obstacle. Each had an "inner knowing" that the
answers and opportunities would unfold while they were
busy doing their own footwork to move things forward.
Their own footwork included networking, reading books,
hiring a coach and holding intention.
They spend their resources wisely
Each of us has a limited amount of time, money and
energy. The millionaire mindset woman knows how to plan
out her resources wisely and get the most bang for her
effort. She is a master at "letting go" of what no
longer works. If a business partnership has gone sour,
then she moves into a new solution with calculation. She
honors and values her time by holding good boundaries,
prioritizing and keeping enough open space in her life
to keep sane.
She
also is wise in her work efforts, doing only what she
loves and is expert at. She hires others to do work that
she needs and is either not expert at or passionate
about.
If you
want to play with these qualities and embrace more of
them in your life, I have a couple of resources that
might spark you on your way.
If you
are playing with any of these qualities or opening your
mind to new possibilities I would love to hear your
stories. Please write to me at
to share.
